What is the technical term called when you are allergic to metal? And what can you do to get rid of it?
Q. Well ever since I was born I have been allergic to metal. I cant wear metal watches, metal necklaces, or metal bracelets without breaking out into rashes. I get rashes on my waste right below my belly button from metal button on jeans. I get rashes on my thigh for having change in my pocket to long. I get rashes on my nipple or close to my nipple when Im wearing my name tag at work cause the clip is made from metal and when I was a baby I use to get little cirlce red rashes down the middle of my chest from those metal circle buttons on one piece baby suits. All my life I have had this and so I was wondering is there a technically term for this?

A. I've read that most reactions to metal are to nickel, and I believe it to be true. Gold isn't hard enough by itself to make jewelry, for example, and must be mixed with another metal for strength. Nickel is very often used. You may be able to wear sterling silver, or stainless steel. If it's for jewelry, Simply Whispers, Inc. Also, I've recently seen store displays of jewelry they say is "nickel-free jewelry". How to bend back metal on a truck after an accident?
Q. Ok, a few minutes ago i asked how to bend back the plastic on the truck, now i realized that the reason my tire is grinding against the plastic part is because in the accident is because the metal in the lower front of the truck from its middle or line of symmetry is bent back towards the right. As you may know i cannot heat this type of metal or after it cools down it will become weak and brittle. Is their any way (besides a repair shop) to bend that metal back to it's original position without damaging or weakening the metal, or destroying the plastic around the metal?

A. If it got smashed the structural integrity is already somewhat compromised so who cares if you heat it. If it is part of a main support (frame, suspension,steering parts) or what some call super structure I would say you are right if it is simply body support heat it. Other than that a chain and a big tree or a really big bar. Good luck.

Is it safe to walk on a metal roof of a metal building?
Q. I'm looking to buy a metal warehouse building. The walls and roof are dirty and need cleaning. While the structure is plenty sound, I'm wondering how safe it is to walk on the roof. I was wondering if all metal roofs are built strong enough to support a person walking on it. For other types of roofs in colder climates, building codes specify a load capacity to hold up under snow. Here in Houston, such support does not apply. As the roof itself is very light, it doesn't need to be very strong to shed off rain.

A. i've done a lot of work on metal roofs, and i have only came across 1 that was too thin to walk on. it wasn't that it wouldn't support me either, (230lbs) it just bent, and dented when i walked on it. this just simply made it look ugly... feel a corner or edge if you can find one. if you can bend it easily with your fingers, it's too thin, but if it's quite rigid, and you can't bend it without plyers, it should hold up to your boots! not sure where you are, but where i am, we are starting to get frost. take EXTRA care on those metal roofs during this coming winter season!
